Traviata is a display font released in 2017 by Violaine & Jérémy. Designed for the 2017-2018 identity of the « Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord » in Paris, this font was directly inspired by the adaptation of the play La Traviata by Benjamin Lazar, Florent Hubert and Judith Chemla. Traviata starts with a large classical structure offering shy serifs and becomes an expressive force through its unusual details, such as a long apex and strokes, as well as the mix of a traditional construction and very geometrical shapes. The result is a well-balanced, contrasted and elegant font, perfect for display use, especially with a strong colorful palette.
